Sun, salt, and time are the true tests of furniture. We choose materials that pass all three.
From certified A-grade teak to marine-grade steel and performance textiles, each material below was selected for how it endures, and for how beautifully it ages.

Certified A-Grade Teak
We use only certified A-grade heartwood from mature plantation teak: tight, straight grain with the highest natural oil content. It shrugs off rain and sun for decades, weathering to an elegant silver patina or holding its honey tone with simple care.

Sunbrella Performance Fabrics
Solution-dyed Sunbrella acrylics carry their color through every fiber, not printed on top. Fade-resistant, mold-resistant, and easily cleaned, they are the benchmark for performance upholstery, backed by a five-year fade warranty.

OEM Fabric Programs
Beyond our curated line, Prado offers full OEM fabric programs: the same mills and performance textiles specified by leading designers and hospitality brands, tailored to your project’s palette and specification.

316 Stainless Steel
Every fastener and fitting is marine-grade 316 stainless, the alloy trusted on open-ocean yachts. Its added molybdenum resists salt, chlorine, and coastal air, so hardware stays bright where lesser steel pits and stains.

Tenara Thread
Our cushions are sewn with Tenara thread, a PTFE fiber immune to UV, saltwater, chlorine, and mildew. The stitch will outlast the fabric around it, which is why we back every cushion seam with a lifetime craftsmanship warranty.

Serge Ferrari Batyline® Sling
The best-in-class sling material, full stop. Serge Ferrari’s Batyline composite mesh is dimensionally stable. It will not sag, stretch, or hold water, delivering taut, quick-drying comfort season after season.

Olefin Rope
Hand-wrapped olefin rope brings softness and craft to our woven silhouettes. Solution-dyed and UV-stable, it resists fading, moisture, and abrasion while keeping a supple hand that invites touch.

Handcrafted Powder-Coated Aluminum
Our aluminum frames are hand-welded, ground smooth, and finished in architectural-grade powder coat. Featherlight yet rustproof by nature, each frame is inspected by hand before it earns the Prado name.
