The Whistler Teak Side Chair, designed in collaboration with Mark Dvorak, brings a strong architectural point of view to outdoor dining. Crafted in solid Grade A teak, the chair is defined by its three vertical back panels, clean rectilinear frame, and intentionally substantial proportions—creating a silhouette that feels modern, sculptural, and quietly distinctive.
Designed for both hospitality and residential environments, the Whistler offers a refined alternative to traditional teak dining chairs. Its armless profile allows it to sit cleanly around dining tables while maximizing usable seating space, making it especially well suited to resort terraces, restaurants, private clubs, luxury residences, and multifamily amenity spaces.
The natural sanded teak finish highlights the grain and warmth of the material while allowing the architecture of the chair to remain the focus. Subtle brass detailing adds a considered finishing touch without distracting from the simplicity of the design.

Our frames are master-crafted from sustainably harvested Grade-A teak, the world’s most durable and prestigious hardwood for outdoor environments.
- The Integrity: High in natural oils and exceptionally dense, our teak is inherently resistant to rot, moisture, and UV degradation.
- The Finish: Left in its natural, raw state to celebrate the organic grain. Over time, the honey-gold wood will gracefully evolve into a distinguished silvery-grey patina, a hallmark of authentic teak.
- Construction: We utilize traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery, allowing the wood to expand and contract naturally with seasonal changes while maintaining uncompromising structural stability.
Prado Outdoor is committed to providing high-quality outdoor furniture for both residential and hospitality (commercial) use. Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the specified periods below, effective from the date of purchase (original invoice required). While we stand behind our products, normal wear and tear or misuse is not covered. The warranty is offered to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Warranty coverage differs for residential vs. commercial use as noted:
- Frames (Aluminum, Steel, Teak): Residential – 5 Years, Commercial – 2 Years. Covers structural integrity of furniture frames in normal use. Components like foot glides or hardware are not considered part of the frame and may wear with use. This warranty excludes finish changes due to weather or use.

In designing the dining chair for the Whistler collection, we faced a challenge: How do you maintain the 'heavy' look of the collection without making the dining area feel crowded? The answer was removing the arms. By keeping the substantial legs and seat planks but eliminating the armrests, we created a chair that feels grounded yet open. It allows the beautiful, thick edge of the dining table to take center stage and gives the host the flexibility to squeeze in an extra friend without the furniture feeling cluttered.

Whistler Dining Chair FAqs
Yes. The seat and back slats are carefully angled and smoothed to provide ergonomic support for extended dining without the need for cushions. However, if you prefer a plusher feel or a specific color accent, we offer custom-tailored outdoor dining cushions sold separately that are designed specifically to fit the Whistler collection.
Absolutely. The armless design was specifically engineered to tuck completely under the apron of the Whistler Dining Table (and most standard outdoor tables). This protects the seat from the elements when not in use and keeps your patio walkway clear.
Because they lack the bulk of armrests, the Whistler Armless Chair is our most space-efficient seating option. You can typically fit 3-4 chairs comfortably along the side of an 8-foot table, allowing for greater capacity compared to the armchair version.
