Prado Outdoor project
Alina Residences 2 and 3
Alina Residences 2 and 3 is a South Florida development in Boca Raton, and the outdoor scope covers shared amenity space rather than a single terrace. Pool decks, shaded lounge areas and residence terraces all read as one visual scheme while taking very different amounts of sun and traffic.
Boca Raton is a demanding installation environment: year-round heat and humidity, high UV, salt carried in from the Atlantic, and hurricane season every autumn. Furniture is never brought indoors, so nothing in the specification depends on seasonal storage. Grade A teak heartwood is used unfinished, 316 stainless hardware replaces plated fixings, and upholstery is Sunbrella solution-dyed acrylic so amenity cushions do not drift out of colour against each other as they age.
Because the two buildings share a design language, the specification was written for continuity as much as for performance. The same collections, finishes and fabric references run across both, and remain available afterward so building management can replace individual pieces without re-specifying an entire deck.
