Frequently Asked
Questions we are asked most.
Prado Outdoor works directly with its own manufacturing partners to build outdoor furniture for residential and hospitality projects. If your question is not answered here, we will answer it personally.
Ordering & Trade
Do I need a trade account to order?
No. Anyone can order. Designers, architects, hospitality groups and contractors are encouraged to apply to the trade program, which unlocks trade pricing and a dedicated point of contact.
What does the trade program include?
Trade pricing on your first order, a complimentary finish sample box, direct access to a representative, and specification support on larger projects. Members reaching $20,000 in cumulative purchases move to Premier pricing at 35%.
How do I get a quote?
Send us the pieces, quantities and delivery city. Project quotes include freight and are returned in writing, usually within one business day.
Can you handle a full property?
Yes. We support hospitality and multi-family projects from a single terrace to a full resort, including phased delivery, replacement pieces and long-term reorder support after installation.
Lead Times & Delivery
What is the typical lead time?
Most orders ship in 8 to 12 weeks. Some pieces are held in inventory and ship sooner. Because timing varies by piece and by season, your written quote is always the authority on dates.
How does freight work?
Freight is quoted per order based on volume and destination, and appears as a line on your quote. Large residential and project orders normally arrive by truck delivery scheduled with you in advance.
Do you deliver outside the United States?
Ask us. We have shipped to international project sites and will quote it directly.
Materials
What are your pieces made from?
Primarily Grade A teak, powder-coated aluminum, 316 stainless steel hardware, all-weather woven resin, and Sunbrella performance fabrics. Materials for each piece are listed on its product page.
Why Grade A teak?
Grade A is the mature heartwood of the teak tree, the densest and most naturally oil-rich part. It is what allows a piece to stay outdoors year after year in coastal humidity, salt air and full sun without structural failure.
Will teak change color?
Yes, and this is normal. Left untreated, teak weathers from honey brown to a soft silver-grey within roughly six to twelve months outdoors. This is a surface change only and does not affect strength.
Can I keep the original teak color?
Yes. Clean the piece and apply a teak sealer, typically once a season. We recommend a sealer rather than a teak oil, as oil can encourage mildew in humid coastal climates.
How do I care for cushions?
Sunbrella covers are removable and can be cleaned with mild soap and water. Store cushions dry and out of standing water. Bring them in for hurricane season and long unoccupied periods.
Fabrics & Samples
Can I see materials before I commit?
Yes, and you should. We send complimentary swatches, and trade members receive a full finish sample box.
Can I specify my own fabric?
On many pieces, yes. Custom fabric, finish and sizing requests are part of how we work with designers. Send us the specification and we will confirm what is possible.
After the Sale
What if something is damaged in transit?
Note it on the delivery paperwork, photograph it, and contact us the same day. We resolve freight damage directly.
Is your furniture covered by a warranty?
Yes. Coverage differs by product and by whether the setting is residential or commercial, so the exact terms are confirmed in writing with your quote or order. Our warranty and care guide covers the general framework.
Can I get replacement parts later?
Yes. Long-term support is a deliberate part of how we operate: replacement cushions, hardware, additional pieces and later project phases, years after the original installation.
